Notre Dame vs NC State Preview

The missing piece for the Fighting Irish the last couple of years has been a dynamic quarterback. It appears they’ve found one in Wake Forest transfer Sam Hartman, and the offensive line and running game look equally as dangerous. Question marks remain on the wide receiving corps and defensive line, but this is shaping up to be another 10-win season for the Fighting Irsh.

NC State, meanwhile, lost its best player to the transfer portal and replaced him with another transfer in former Virginia quarterback Brennan Armstrong. The graduate senior turned in an underwhelming performance and eeked out a 24-14 win against abysmal UConn, and will need a significantly better performance to have the slightest of chances of upsetting Notre Dame.

Notre Dame vs NC State Prediction

Notre Dame has all the momentum in the world right now and there’s no indication anything on the NC State sideline is going to stop it. While Hartman has earned all the attention, look for the Irish to lean on that prolific ground attack and gash the Wolfpack’s front seven. I’m surprised the spread on this one is just one touchdown, I like the Irish to roll over the Wolfpack, 38-24.
